TaskSelectTransceiver.reset

Removes any remaining data from I/O buffers, sends any pending output data immediately if possible, and removes the epoll registration of the I/O device, if any.

You need to call this method if you close and then reopen or otherwise reassign the I/O device's file descriptor *without* suspending and resuming or terminating and restarting the task in between. You may call this method at any time between the last time you read from the old and the first time you read from the new device.

This method does not throw. It is safe to call it if the I/O device is not (yet or any more) usable.
